Once upon a time, whenever I was sick or down, I’d re-read a couple of Mark Twains: Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court. By then, I’d have recovered from whatever it was.
Then I went through a phase when it was the Ring trilogy. If I wasn’t very sick or down and expected to recover quickly, instead of a three-book stack it was The Three Musketeers.
These days, I’m approaching Most Re-reads status with the Murderbot diaries. I’m on my third or fourth trip through them right now.
No worries, I’m not sick or down — just recovering from two very difficult years without a break. Think of these as vacation reads!
